A very straight forward and useful guide to writing. It will help you to use your time more efficiently, how to come up with new ideas, how to market your work better, how to keep going when you doubt yourself and how to improve your writing.
It's written by someone who actually is a successful writer rather than someone who only has success in telling others how to write.
The website which has a lot of bonus information, is great as well.

Excellent book. Interesting, direct and very helpful. It's far and away the best book about writing I've ever read (next to Stephen King's `On Writing') It's full of good techniques, tips and even exercises. Mr Wolff is a superb teacher. He gives the readers everything they need to improve their writing. You'll have solid foundations to build your story.

An excellent book for non-fiction writers, too(Rating: 5)
As a non-fiction author (including books on how to write non-fiction!) I think Jurgen's book can give even authors of business and academic books a great deal to think about. Dry, boring non-fiction is - thankfully - going out of fashion in favour of a much more creative, story-telling approach. Non-fiction today, even if it is very factual and information-based, has to be interesting and - dare I say it - even entertaining if it's going to hold readers' attention right to the end. And this is where Jurgen's advice and guidance is particularly valuable, no matter what type of writing you do. I recommend this book wholeheartedly.

I purchased this book just over a year ago, in the hope that it would enable me to begin writing, and i can say happily, since purchasing this book, i am well on my way to my first novel.This book enables you to weed out all the nonsense, and get to the ideas that are important. Also, after having trouble figuring out how to leap two years in the space of a few pages, i emailed the author and, within a couple of days, he had emailed me back, giving me detailed and personalised help. I cannot thank him enough for this book, and for his help. Excellent, excellent,excellent!
